The homestead was designed by local architect Max Edridge whose brief was to 'create a large country home that connected harmoniously with the landscape'. He has succeeded. Westwood was a (top category) national 'House of the Year' award winner.

Westwood can sleep nine people in all, it has four (superking/twin) bedrooms, and one single. Four with ensuites, one with share bathroom.

The solar heated in-ground swimming pool is a most welcome feature on a hot summers day.
Breakfast alfresco by the pool and take in the wonderful view over the pond and gardens to the Tararua Ranges.
